Jody with Tanya FrasierThe Adult Training Program serves 107 individuals with disabilities.  Various opportunities based on the desires and abilities of each individual are provided.  Social and recreational activities, paid work, volunteer experiences, communication and mobility training, and physical and occupational therapies are among the experiences offered.  There are eight individual components as well as other areas, which include a workshop, kitchen, classrooms, small activity areas, changing rooms, and physical therapy rooms.

Program participants enjoy many community activities such as Aquabilities, Reading Phillies, Great Adventure, Sight and Sound Theatre, Blue Marsh, Philadelphia Zoo, Knoebel’s Grove, Strasburg Railroad, Hopewell Furnace, and many more.

In addition to enjoying community activities, many program participants also enjoy community volunteering.  Volunteer sites include Wood-To-Wonderful, Opportunity House, Humane Society, Meals-On-Wheels, American Cancer Society, Adopt-A-Highway, Adopt-A-Spot, and the Animal Rescue League.

The Department of Public Welfare and the Department of Aging license this program.
